Website management for a Dutch wholesale telecom carrier

Website · Visit carrier2.network ↗

Carrier2 is a Dutch wholesale telecom provider offering voice termination, DIDs, IP transit and SMS to VoIP operators across Europe, and it runs its own data centers in Amsterdam.

We managed and maintained the Carrier2 website until 2024, keeping a technical B2B site accurate, secure and fast as services, partners and content changed.

With a wide range of services and a technical audience of carriers and VoIP providers, the website plays an important role in explaining what Carrier2 offers and connecting partners to the right team.

Project at a glance
  • Goal: a reliable, up-to-date website for an international B2B audience
  • Built with: WordPress
  • Scope: ongoing website management, updates and maintenance

The challenge

Carrier2 sells technical services to telecom operators, so its website has to explain complex offerings clearly and stay current. The team needed a partner to look after the site so they could focus on the network.

  • Many service, partner and blog pages to keep accurate
  • Regular core, theme and plugin updates
  • Links to the client portal and reseller platform that must always work

Every change carried risk. A broken plugin update or an outdated service page could confuse partners or interrupt access to tools they use every day, so updates needed care and testing.

Our approach

We set up a simple care routine: scheduled updates tested before release, regular backups, monitoring and a clear process for content requests from the Carrier2 team.

  1. 1Audit and handover. We reviewed the existing Carrier2 website, its plugins, hosting and content so we knew exactly what we were looking after.
  2. 2Care routine. We set a schedule for updates, backups and checks, with every update tested before it went live.
  3. 3Content requests. The Carrier2 team sent changes as they came up, and we handled them quickly so the site always matched the current offer.
  4. 4Ongoing support. We monitored the site, fixed issues as they appeared and kept it running smoothly until 2024.

The solution

An ongoing website care plan that kept the WordPress site stable and current, with changes handled quickly whenever services or partners were updated.
